Background: About 5 years ago a group of volunteers from neighboring communities organized an effort to help raise efforts from neighbors and surrounding businesses to make a financial contribution, donate plants, materials, labor and sweat effort to help beautify the post office. After many years (an substantial overgrowth) the communities efforts paid off and many of the donated plantings have survived.
We need to keep the efforts moving forward and are planning to do a phased effort in our attempt to start the pruning and clean up of the post office planters as part of Phase 1.
We will be focusing on the main front triangle, garden area on Alfred and small section on Pico. The good news! The SPRINKLERS WORK IN THESE PLANTERS!
